Grade 3 Weaving and Mosaics

Grade 3 color wheel mosaics

Grade 3 is studying the color wheel and the skills and techniques of multi-media mosaics.

Grade 4 button trees

Grade 4 learned blending techniques with acrylic to accomplish a successful background as well as tree-drawing techniques.

Grade 5 dripping trees

Grade 5 is learning about drawing and painting trees, as well as blending cool color groups with acrylics and creating and controlling dripping paint. 

Grade 3 Spider Web Color Wheels

Spider Web. Grade 3 Students examined the color wheel and discussed the order of the color wheel and its importance. Students then learned watercolor techniques and the basics of drawing a spider web and created a "color wheel spider web".  

Grade 5 Tree in 12 Techniques

12 Technique trees.Grade 5 started out this lesson by learning the basics of drawing trees.  We then divided the tree into a grid and each lesson we discuss 2 techniques for the students to add to their tree. It is up to them how and where they use the technique as well as colors they choose.  The techniques we have discussed are as follows:  Cross-hatching, hatching, pointillism/stipple, scribble, shingle, spiral, chalk pastel, oil pastel, resist/texture, acrylic paint, watercolor paint, colored pencil.
