Ms VanWahlde's class

Grade 3 Ms. VanWahlde's class now has their Georgia Okeeffe paintings displayed proudly in the display case closest to the Lunch Bunch room.

Famous Illustrator Harry Bliss!!!

Harry Bliss- a well known American illustrator, has illustrated 15 books. He is working with the intermediate students until October 31- giving them pointers on illustration! What an amazing opportunity!! His books are for sale in the library!!

Tissue paper with Grade 3

Grade 3 is continuing their study of Georgia Okeeffe by creating a mixed- media collage based on one of her paintings.









Grade 5 Mangrove Trees

Grade 5 students are painting beautiful Mangrove Trees (as seen in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve here in Singapore) with Acrylic Paint and then using oil pastels to establish a horizon line. We are discussing ways to blend colors.

Each year 12 pieces of art are selected to represent SAS at the annual art exchange hosted by The Japanese School. The work will be exhibited at The Japanese School's Changi Campus from October 8th until the 25th. Here is a look at this year's picks.
